Gogos, Sotirios T. "Sam"

Of Buffalo, NY passed away on November 23, 2025. Sam was the beloved husband of 60 years to Joanne (nee Martakis); cherished father of Rachel (Dino Kartofilis) and Telly Gogos; devoted grandfather of Zoe and Alexa Kartofilis; loving son of the late Theodore and late Agoritsa Gogos; predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters; also survived by many friends. Sam was the proud owner of The Plaka Restaurant in Kenmore, NY for the last 32 years with his wife and children. He formerly owned Sammy's Texas Hots in Buffalo for 25 years. He will be missed immeasurably. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday November 25th from 3-7 PM at the PERNA DENGLER ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME 1671 Maple Rd. Williamsville, NY. A Trisagion will be held at the funeral home at 6 PM. A visitation at church will be held on Wednesday November 26th from 10:30 – 11AM where a Funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 11 AM at the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation 1000 Delaware Ave. at West Utica St. Buffalo, NY. Please assemble at the Church. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery in Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sam's memory to the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation.
