Muchowski, Stephen Joseph

Born in Buffalo, NY on August 11, 1938, Steve was the son of Mary Muchowski ( Chrosniak) and Stephen Paul Muchowski. After graduating from Bishop Fallon High School, he attended Canisius College and began his career at American Manufacturing and Foundry. In addition, he joined the Army Reserves and served active duty at Fort Knox, Kentucky. On July 14, 1962, he married Valerie Wesel, also of Buffalo, NY and took a cross-country journey to settle in Santa Clara, CA. There he began a career in the City of San Jose traffic department and raised their three children: Mary Beth, Larry & Laurie. In 1976 the family moved to Mendocino County, where Steve began construction of a Dome home, which would be the family residence for over 50 years. He also helped with the introduction computer technology into the local school system. Steve enjoyed photography and cooking, especially preparing elaborate Thanksgiving dinners for family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Valerie Muchowski; their children Mary Beth Muchowski, Larry (Jenn) Muchowski and Laurie (Russell Michael) Muchowski, his brother Mark (Elaine) of Orchard Park, NY and his beloved grandchildren Marshall Michael, Robbie Muchowski and Megan Muchowski. A Celebration of Steve's Life will be held at a later date.
