CULLEN - Susan (Busch)
Age 83, of Buffalo NY. Great-granddaughter of Buffalo Common Council President, Henry F. Jerge, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Susan was born in 1938 to Harvey W. and Marie (Keller) Busch in Buffalo, NY. She attended Buffalo School 22 and graduated from Bennett High School in 1956. Susan went on to study Medical Technology at University of Rochester, earning a B.A. Degree as well as a Performance Degree in Piano from The Eastman School of Music in 1960. She worked in hospital laboratories in Syracuse, and Buffalo, and taught private piano lessons for many years. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed needlework and knitting. Susan was a 65-year member of P.E.O., a women's philanthropic organization, serving in many roles including New York State President in 1977-1978. Loving wife of the late Leonard A. Cullen; she is survived by her children, Elisabeth "Lisa" Cullen, Peter (Debora); and grandchildren, Charlotte, Curtis, Christina Giese, Matthew B., and Laura Cullen.
