There will never now or ever be, such friend as Tommy G.
I was so glad you were a friend to me.
Tom you were a giant hearted, fun loving man.
You touched us all and made us smile, like no one can!
My deepest regrets to the Gianturco family.
Do not be sad, Tom wouldn't want you to.
Just raise a glass and smile and think of happy times he had with you.
So, until we meet again.
Thank you for blessing us all, our dear Friend.

It is the rarest of gifts when one leaves such a lasting impression in someone's heart. Tommy had this incredible gift, which is why he remains unforgettable to all of us. Self-lessness, kindness, love...all that we strive to be but fall short of achieving. He achieved what should be our goal in life: Always make that person you meet feel special...a part of your heaven. He did this effortlessly. With our love and deepest sympathy, we grieve with you.
Love,

I can't remember when I met Tommy. That's the way he was, once you had met it was as if you had always known each other. I was surprised one day to hear my grandfather (neighbor to the Plum on Transit for years) speak of "Tommy G" and thought,....it couldn't be the same person. Sure enough, his spirit transcended all boundaries and everyone loved to see Tommy. I haven't seen Tommy in a few years and deeply regret that I will not see my friend again in this life. Thank you for the memories. Rest in Peace my friend, you will be missed.

Although I have worked with Tommy for many years - I have never thought of him as anything less than a true, dear friend. His smile was always ready to greet me and anyone else who entered his presence. He was full of love: he loved his life; loved his friends; and truly loved his family! My thoughts and prayers are with you Jim and with your parents and your brother and sisters. I will have Tommy with me always as he is in a special place in my heart!

During our years at Eggert Road and Amherst, I was cushioned by Gianturcos, with Jim a year ahead and Tom a year behind. With Jim on the golf team and Tom as a good friend, it was a nice place to be. The Gianturcos opened their house and their hearts to us and we were always grateful. I am sad to have a childhood friend pass from us this soon. I hope that you take comfort in knowing that his friends did care tremendously for him and thought of him often, even when we were not in close contact.

To the Gianturco Family.....my deepest sympathy. This world has lost a bit of sunshine. I worked with Tommy a few years ago and although our paths haven't crossed in recent years, I have thought about him often. Tommy had a way of touching peoples lives and hearts. He was truly a gentle giant with a heart of gold. I remember his laugh, his way of bringing humor into any situation, and his zest for life that many envied. My heart goes out to all of his family, and friends.....and to those "friends" who never got the opportunity to meet Tommy, I am sorry. He was a wonderful person. In time all of your heartfelt memories will ease the pain and keep him close to your heart.

My heart is sad at the loss of our incredible friend. Tommy G was so loved by my family and will be sadly missed. He loved my brothers as if his own and breaking bread at my Pa's was such an enjoyable time when we broke bread with Tommy G. Tommy, I loved how you loved us all and how you would walk into a room and everyone as though it was rehearsed would all smile and yell out "Hey Tommy G" and we would all wait for your incredible hugs . You will be missed my friend and thank you for being a part of our lives. We have all been truly blessed by your presence .God Bless You and Keep You

Dearest Dr. & Mrs G, Linda, Jimmy, Wynne & Michael, I can't possibly say anything more than what's already been said. Tommy touched so many people that he may be the only 43 year old man to leave this earth with such an enormous legacy of friends. I don't have to tell any of you how much your son meant to me over the past 30 years as all of you are in so many of my thousands of wonderful memories of him. He was so dear to me. We were saddened to hear of Tommy's passing. Although we were friends in elementary school, we haven't seen him in years. In spite of this, Tommy shows up repeatedly in stories that I've told over the years. Tommy was larger than life and had a laugh that enlivened the world.

Tommy you are by far one of the most influential people in my life. Not only do I have hundreds of amazing memories but you have also taught me so much about life. I have never been around another person that could make everyone feel so loved and welcome like you did.
You are one of those friends that I could talk to about anything and whether it is good or bad you could lift my spirits in a moment. You’re happiness and love was completely contagious.
Like you said you have spoiled me so that I will never find another man to compete with you, and I know that is true! I will never have another friend like you.
I will forever cherish every memory of you for the rest of my life.
I love you so much Tommy, you life on in my heart forever.

Tommy,
As is the case with many highly regarded individuals who have gone too soon, you left us all wanting more. The style by which you lived your life was admired by many, and I was no different. You have left an indelible mark on my life and I am thankful for the many special moments we shared. Our time together was short, too short, but as I reflect, I can’t help but smile and laugh because you brought such joy and happiness into my life, and the lives of many others. Your generosity was only surpassed by the genuineness of your heart. You were one of a kind Tommy, and I’m grateful I was able to call you a friend. And yes Tommy, as you once told me, you are indeed “invincible”! The way by which you touched so many people’s lives, will no doubt live in their minds and hearts forever, further proving just how “invincible” you really are.
Rest in peace my dear friend…

I met Tommy at the Cigar Store on Webster Street in North Tonawanda. He was the type of guy you'd meet, and after five minutes, feel as though you had been best friends since childhood. His sense of humor was infectious. I will take many fond memories of enjoying a good cigar and laughing to the point of tears, with me the rest of my life. I will miss him, as we all will, very much. Thanks Tommy, for making everyones day a little brighter.

I am privileged to have been able to say you were my friend, and am fortunate to have so many wonderful and funny memories to remember you by.

Tommy... I will miss the stories that you told, the nights out on the town and the way that you turned trouble into fun. Your generosity and big heart were matched only by your willingness to use them. People that are so truely loved and admired have typically earned and deserve that adoration and you were proof of that. You will be sorely missed my friend.

To the Gianturco Family
No amount of words can express how much Tommy G was beloved by everyone and the memories are too many to list. Tommy was an extended member of many people’s families and he left a giant footprint on all our lives. Take solace to know that although he is no longer physically among us; his time here on earth left memories that will last a lifetime with everyone who had the privilege to have known him.
Good Bless Dr. and Mrs. Gianturco, Jimmy, Wynne, Linda and Mike.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most special.
I am sure Tommy's memories will be in many peoples pockets

To the Gianturco Family,
My heart goes out to all of you. As we all know Tommy was a one of a kind. He could walk into a room not knowing anyone and be the life of the party. By the end of the night he was friends with everyone. He made us all laugh with his jokes. He had a smile that warmed you as soon as you saw him.
Another character trait that I will always remember about him was his big heart that he had for people. It didn't matter if he just knew you for the first time or that he knew you a life time, he cared about people and would help them in anyway.
Remember during this time of sorrow, if Tommy were here he would still make you laugh by cracking jokes in the midst of your sorrow. Celebrate his life and tell each other a joke- reach out to someone and give them a "Tommy" smile.
He did impact this world with his life-
May his legacy continue to touch others during this time of sorrow.

Dear Gianturco Family,
I had the good fortune of meeting Tommy when he was just 11 years old. I was in awe of him as he could make any one in his presence(young and old) laugh and smile. He was able to do this from a very young age and throughout his life.I have tears in my eyes as I write this because he was such a wonderful uncle and godfather to my children. His presence will be will be missed by all of us. He touched each one of my children in a very special way and for that I am very thankful. His neice and nephews will have many wonderful memories to share about their Uncle Tom. I have many memories of Tom that make me smile especially when I think of the jokes he would tell at the holiday dinners...the classic joke that was told for years...over and over again "release the fly...he may fly again but.."
Please know that you are all in my prayers.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
