Thomas C. "Tom" ROMMEL Sr.

ROMMEL - Thomas C. Sr. "Tom" Age 95, of Swormville, NY, March 14, 2012. Passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife of 73 years by his side, Audrey M. (nee Stengel); loving father of Dianne (John) Veneski, Judy (Jack) Clare, Ellen (Mike) VanPatten, Tom Jr. (Joann), Tim (Rand) Rommel and Mary (Al) Schultz; grandpa to 18 and g.g. pa to 15. No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church (Chapel), 6919 Transit Rd. (corner of Stahley Rd., Swormville), Saturday morning at 10:00. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Building Fund. Tom (Herm) was born and raised in Baltimore, spending many happy years on Marley Creek and Furnace Branch. He retired from Railway Express Agency, was Past President and Chief of Swormville Fire Company and St. Mary's Holy Name Society. Tom was an avid duffer, loved wintering in Florida, swimming, catching Maryland crabs, eating oysters, but most of all he loved his wife, family and friends.
