Exceptional teacher and human being, in the classroom and in the world around him. Thoughtful and insightful. Condolences to all his family, friends, and all the lucky Amherst students privileged in the past to be his students.

My condolences to the Brown family. Beck was very kind to me early in my career at ACHS and provided me with a lot of invaluable advice. He was both a scholar and a gentleman.

Brown family- so sorry for your loss. Beck was a great teacher at ACHS and a very intelligent and intellectual man. I´m sure he had a great life.

My sincere sympathies to Barbara and family. Such a lovely man! So full of intelligence, enthusiasm and genuine interest in others and their lives. When I first joined Chorus Niagara, Beck went out of his way to welcome me and draw me in to the community. I really enjoyed his warmth and kindness during the time we spent together and his unflagging enthusiasm for classical music.
