Mr. Odden was my music teacher at PS School #72. I have always had fond memories of his music class. He was an easy going teacher with a sweet soul who clearly loved teaching music. May he rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers.

I remember Mr. Odden from school 72, back in the late 1970s where he was my music teacher. He was a passionate music teacher who was so patient with those of us students not gifted in music or voice and his class was always fun. Even to this day, each time I hear any version of the song, the greatest love of all, I think of Mr Odden and times in his music class. That was our 8th grade graduation class song. I'm sure his legacy will carry on in many ways.
May God bless his loved ones and give comfort and peace as you move thru this sad time.

The worship service at St. Paul's won't be the same without Mr. Odden's beautiful, unique and joyful organ playing. I'm sure he is now in heaven's choir but what a loss for those who knew him!

Mr. Odden was my music teacher at Lorraine Academy #72 back in the 80's. He was a very nice man. He will be missed. May the Lord welcome him to eternal rest.

I was so honored to meet the legendary Wally Odden upon being hired at City Honors. I was impressed that after all he had done in music education in the Buffalo Schools that he was still working and enjoying it! He used his knowledge of the kids and his kind spirit and influence to introduce me to the children who were solid singers. I remember his accomplishments as a teacher of music theory and composition. To receive his approval is a gift that I will always cherish. He was as phenomenal a human as he was a musician and educator. Thank you, Wally; you will never be forgotten.

A super creative and joyful musician, and good friend and band-mate from 1968-1972... My prayer is that he is now joining a heavenly choir.... and that we are one day in that heavenly band together.... May the Lord be with his family... Bob Tice
