I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Bill and regretfully I was out of town and could not make the services. It is impossible for me to think about my friend without smiling. He always brightened the room when he entered and made all that knew him feel a little better about themselves and the world they lived in. I take deep solace in the fact that I know he sleeps with the angels now. My condolences to his family who he loved beyond measure. I have lost a good friend.

Dear Irene,
I am deeply sadden to learn of your loss.
I have many fond memories of Bill when we attended Canisius College. After the night shift at Bethlehem Steel , he would generously offer to pick me up and drive me to school. Your little Chevy Corvair, with the engine in the rear and the trunk in the front, was just the car designed for defeating Buffalo snow and getting around during the winter. Our commute back to South Buffalo, usually included a stop for lunch at "Henry's Hamburgers". We both liked it because a dollar got us 3 hamburgers, fries, a coke and change.
At that time, Bill had a lot of responsibilities on his plate, dedicated husband, proud young father, full time steelworker and full time student. Somehow Bill balanced all these competing responsibilities. I knew back then that Bill had been blessed with a special gift in the way he related to people and how they responded to him. The real estate profession proved to be a perfect fit.

To His Friends and Family,
I will miss this man more than words can express. Every time you ran into him he taught you a life lesson. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren like no one I have ever met. He was of the most fair and kind gentleman that this world has ever known. When you struggle to do the right thing, think of Bill. He will make it easier for you to do the right thing.
God Bless.

Bill was very thoughtful, weighing all sides. It was a learning experience and pleasure serving on a committee with him. The loss of his professional wisdom, experience and knowledge within our Realtor family creates a void that is impossible to fill. My sincerest condolences to his family.

To Irene & the entire Curtin Family -- what a wonderful husband, dad, granddad and gentleman you had in your life.
I worked with Bill at the Board of Realtors for many years and he was always so helpful on government affairs issues. More importantly, he lit up the room with his kindness, charm and wit.

Dear Irene and Family: Bill will be missed by many. He was sincere, hardworking and a true gentleman. He always had a smile and possessed a genuine, outgoing and upbeat personality. He was interested...and interesting. When I read about his passing in the paper today, I immediately called our mutual friend, Carol Peacock (who now lives in New England). I knew she would want to know. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers. Fondly, Donna Herberger, Williamsville, New York
