Valerie Rowland Obituary

Valerie Joy Rowland
Aug. 6, 1967-April 7, 2023
Valerie Joy Rowland, age 55, was born on August 6th, 1967 and passed peacefully to meet her Lord in her home on April 7th, 2023 surrounded by her husband and children.
Valerie was born in Wichita, KS to Glen and Linda Gruber.
At the age of 9, she became a follower of Christ.
She was a graduate of Skyline High School in Urbana, MO.
On July 25th, 1992, she married James Rowland, and they settled in Tunas, MO to raise their family. She was a loving wife and mother, devoting her life as a homemaker.
If you were to ask her where her favorite place to be was, she would be quick to tell you the beach. She loved to paint and scrapbook. Gardening and flowers were among her favorites, but came in close second to feeding her hummingbirds.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Lyal and Mae Weckner, JJ and Lula Weckner, William and Tressie Jackson, Abraham and Martha Durbin, father Glen Gruber, and brother Timmy Gruber.
She is survived by her husband James Rowland of Tunas, children Ashley Rasmussen and husband Tyler of Fordland, Chase Daniels and wife Krystal of Illinois, Trevor Rowland and Jordan Rowland of Tunas. Her grandchildren Kindy Lloyd, Sadie Rasmussen, Konnor Callahan, Cooper Rasmussen and Charlie Rasmussen. Her mother Linda Gruber, sister Melissa Keith and brother Ricky Gruber. Along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will all miss her dearly.
Services will be a private family gathering, as per her wishes.
