Betty Jane Lorenz, 79 years old of Jesup, IA, died Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Suites at Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, IA.

Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. - Friday, February 13, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church, Jesup, IA. Visitation was on Friday at the church, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Military Rites were conducted by Pump-Scheer American Legion Post #342 of Jesup. Following cremation Betty's cremated remains will be placed at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Memorials may be directed to the family. Betty was born, January 31, 1947, in Manchester, IA, the daughter of William Andrews and Mary (Garrett) Andrews. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1966 and then attended Hawkeye Community College to become a dental assistant. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup and was active in Scouting in earlier years. She was a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, active in her church and loved being with her grandchildren. Betty was a US Army Veteran and was a member of Pump-Scheer American Legion in Jesup.

Betty is survived by two sons, Seth Lorenz of Jesup, Matt (Tanya) Lorenz of Raymond, IA; three grandchildren, Mackinzie, Carter and Grayson; two brothers, William "Bodie" Andrews of Independence, IA, Marty (Kathy) Andrews of Averill, NY; four sisters, Dorothy McKnight of Oceola, IA, Hazle (Tag) French of Tulalip, WA, Wilda Solberg of Shellsburg, IA, Martha (Bob) Barnes of Highland Ranch, CO; one sister-in-law, Gloria Andrews of Des Moines, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale in 2023; also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Robert Andrews; a daughter-in-law, Jessica Lorenz; two brothers-in-law, Steve McKnight and Rod Solberg; and sister-in-law, Janet Andrews.

White Funeral Home, Jesup, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
