Randall Lynn Brown was born August 1, 1951, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Raymond Edward and Rosalind B. (Bigelow) Brown. He attended Starmont High School graduating with the class of 1971. After graduation, Randy worked for various farmers around the Lamont area and for Hawkeye Castings. On December 29, 1972, he was united in marriage to Rose Marie Starr at Peace Lutheran Church in Ryan, Iowa. To this union one son, Travis, was born. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends until Rose's death. Randy went on to work and retired from AMPI Creamery but was a mechanic at heart and loved working with his hands. He enjoyed fixing farm equipment, working on hot rods, dirt track racing, drag racing and Nascar. The greatest joy in Randy's life came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont.

Randy is survived by his son: Travis Brown of Marion;
3 granddaughters: Ashley, Cheyenne and Chelsea (Nick);
3 great-grandchildren: Adeline "AJ", Ryker and Xaiden;
5 siblings: Diana Rae Cooper of Manchester,

Jacqueline Sadler of Mechanicsville,
Bruce (Diane) Brown of Manchester and
Audrey Rubner of Oelwein;
Sister-in-law: Deb Brown of Lamont and
many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 siblings: Shirley Rawson and Theodore Brown, 3 brothers-in-law: Danny Rawson, Paul Sadler and Jerry Cooper, sister-in-law: Nancy Brown and 2 nephews: Travis Hutchinson and Marrik Rubner.
