He is survived by his wife, Patricia Deardoff of Independence; one son; Pat's three children; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orla and Ruth Deardoff; his brother, Robert Deardoff; and Pat's son, Calvin Pont.
White Funeral Home, Independence, IA, is in charge of arrangements.
