Steven Boies Obituary

HAZLETON – Steven L. Boies, 48, of Hazleton, Iowa, died Monday, November 4, 2024, at his home.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Monday, November 11, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa with Deacon Jim Patera officiating.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 10, and for one hour before the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Steven Levi Boies was born November 5, 1975, in Waterloo, the son of David Leonard and Barbara Kathern (Yearous) Boies. In 1994, he graduated from Oelwein Community Schools. After high school, Steve went on to work for John Deere in the Maintenance department. On August 18, 2007, he was united into marriage to Karen Michelle Roberts. Steve enjoyed camping, boating, fixing anything he could get his hands on and most of all spending time with his family.
Steve is survived by his wife: Karen Boies of Hazleton; children: Zach Cummings-Boies of Independence, Jes (Jerred) Boies of Oelwein, Blake Boies of Hazleton and Ayden Boies of Hazleton; three grandchildren: Carter, Bronson and Audrey; mother, Barb Boies of Hazleton; step-mother, Jean Davison of Cedar Falls; siblings: Sean (Kristin) Boies of Cedar Rapids and Scott (Brandi) Boies of Waubeek.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Boies, and father-in-law, Terry Roberts.
