Dale Draper Obituary

Dale Bruce Draper

Age: 73 • Colchester

Dale Bruce Draper, 73, of Colchester, Vermont passed away with his daughters by his side on November 21, 2017 at the UVM Medical Center.

Dale was born June 13, 1944 in St. Albans, Vermont to the late Roy and Mildred Draper. He graduated from BFA St. Albans in 1962 and Champlain College with a degree in Business Administration in 1971. Dale spent 6 years in the VT Air National Guard being honorably discharged in 1970. On February 12, 1972 Dale was married to Carol (Lamonda) who he celebrated 40 years of marriage to just before Carol's passing in 2012. After working in sales for several years, Dale was self-employed doing property maintenance for over 30 years, retiring in 2012. In his younger years Dale was an avid drummer playing in many venues around Vermont. Dale will be greatly missed for his easygoing personality, dry sense of humor and love for a blue coat that his daughters would lovingly tease him about for wearing all the time.

Dale is survived by his daughter Lori Draper and her partner Ted Lovejoy of Williston, daughter Stephanie Draper of Colchester, very special friend and "coffee buddy" Peggy Peeters of Colchester, mother in law Loretta Lamonda of So. Burlington, brother in law and his wife Kenneth and Martha Lamonda of Tennessee, brother in law and his wife David and Barbara Lamonda of So. Burlington and several nieces and nephews.

Dale was predeceased by his wife Carol, daughter Stacy, parents Roy and Mildred, sister Judith Smith and father in law Robert Lamonda.

A graveside service will be held on Friday December 1 at 11:00am at Lakeview Cemetery, 455 North Ave., Burlington, VT
