DENNIS PROVENCHER Obituary

DENNIS C. PROVENCHER - MILTON - Dennis C. Provencher, 60, left us peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Dennis was born Aug. 15, 1954, in Methuen, Mass., the son of Conrad and Doris (Bourassa) Provencher. An avid gun collector and excellent marksman, Dennis loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping and photography. Dennis was an excellent welder and was able to repair anything. He was employed by Hayward Tyler Inc. for 23 years as a metal fabricator. Then he furthered his career as an instructor, as he enjoyed passing on his knowledge and expertise to those who shared his passion for the trade. He moved to Vermont in 1978 and decided that he would never leave. In 1986, he met the love of his life, Anne Marie Lemaire, and on July 18, 1992, they were married. Dennis is survived by his loving family, his wife and best friend, Anne Provencher of Milton; his children and grandson, Michael Provencher of Bartow, Fla.; Joel, Andrea and their son, Wesley Provencher, of Sandy, Utah; Joe Lemaire and Tonya Beauregard of Fairfax; Michael Mazza of Milton; and Brian and Jaclyn Lemaire of Milton; parents, Conrad and Doris Provencher of Greentown, Pa.; siblings, Wendy and Stephen Leddy of Milton, Del., Joe and Cindy Provencher of Duluth, Minn., Carol Ann and Ralph Moccio of Wanamassa, N.J., Tom and Josephine Provencher of Marlton, N.J., Frank and Linda Provencher of Goose Creek, S.C., and Patrick Provencher of Greentown, Pa.; mother-in-law, Rita Lemaire of Alburgh; Jim and Lee Lemaire of Magnolia, Mass., and Bill and Donna Lemaire of Georgia, Vt.; as well as many other extended family members. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Eugene Lemaire. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7, in Milton, with Pastor Kim Ransom officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495. Online condolences may be made at www.minorfh.com.
