ELAINE B. NADEAU
Mesa, Arizona/South Burlington--Elaine B. Nadeau, 87, formerly of South Burlington, VT, died on Monday, November 14, 2016 in Mesa, AZ after a long illness.
She was born in St. Johnsbury, VT on January 26, 1929, the daughter of the late Floyd and Ora Ferchette Lapoint. She grew up in St. Johnsbury and was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy. She married John P. Nadeau in 1948. They moved to South Burlington where she supported John in the ownership and operation of City Drug Stores and Nadeau Drug Store.
Elaine is survived by their three children: Carol Reynolds and her husband Daniel of Scottsdale, AZ, Susan Pelley and her partner Dalene Rogers of Las Cruces, NM, Brian Nadeau and his wife Linda of Jericho, VT; five grandchildren: Benjamin Reynolds and his wife Magdalena Barbosa, Aaron Reynolds and his wife Lydia, Zachary Reynolds, Jennifer Pelley, Colby Nadeau; two great grandchildren: Noah Reynolds and Kairi Aurora Clark; cousin Karen (Lapoint) and her husband David Coffey.
Elaine was predeceased by her husband John in March 2000, her grandchild Bradley David Nadeau, and her lifelong friends Priscilla and Raymond Prevost.
A graveside ceremony and burial will be held at Resurrection Park Cemetery South Burlington, Saturday November 19, 2016 at 11:30 am.

Dear Brian, carol Susan and families,
I'd like to express my greatest sympathies for your loss. Elaine was always an upbeat, fun loving and caring person. She always made me feel like a part of your family, especially after the loss of my parents many years ago. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Her and john were some of the most charitable and hardest working people I've ever met. They had a profound influence on my life. I'm unable to attend today's services due to a recent surgery but please know that I am thinking of you and your families today.
