Gary Andrew Langevin

Age: 70 • Colchester

Gary Andrew Langevin, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 1, 2017 at his home in Colchester. He was born in Newark, New Jersey on February 6, 1947 son of the late Arthur and Doris (Martell) Langevin. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married the former Kim Marie Bennett on August 11, 1991 in Burlington. He worked for UPS and retired after 30 years in 2001. He enjoyed the yearly trips to the beautiful island of Aruba with his wife. Gary was an avid sports fan, specifically the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was especially thrilled to see the Patriots win yet another Super Bowl on the night before his 70th birthday this year.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Kim Marie Langevin of Colchester, his three sons Shawn Langevin and wife Angela of Orange, Jamie Langevin and Michele Bean of Colchester, Jeff Langevin of Florida, his daughter Stephanie Hope and husband David of Georgetown, Canada, his brother Cris Langevin of Winooski, his Aunt Lucille Morin and Ray Lyons of Florida, a special niece Melissa Denecker and husband Ryan of Bristol, his two nephews Dan Langevin and wife Bethany of Georgia, Cris Langevin of Colchester, seven grandchildren Brittnie, Zachary, Katelyn, Brandon, Erin, Ayla, Elizabeth and two great grandchildren Emma and Gibson, his mother-in-law Priscilla Poch of Colchester, father-in-law Raymond James Bennett Jr. of Burlington, sister-in-law Susan Preston and husband Bill of Burlington.

He was also predeceased by his nephew Michael Langevin and his brother-in-law Raymond James Bennett III.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 7, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home - Essex Chapel, 57 Main Street, Essex Junction, VT 05452. If you are a Patriots fan, please sport your Patriots memorabilia when you come to visiting hours in honor of Gary's memory. A graveside service will be held at a later date with the time and date to be announced. Memorial contributions in Gary's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. What can I say. Gary was one of a kind. They broke the mold when they made him. I remember when I was depressed he always made me feel better. He always knew what to say. I will miss him slot. I love you Gary. My prayers to the rest of the family. I love you all.
