GERALD AUBE Obituary

GERALD PAUL AUBE - CHARLOTTE - Gerald Paul Aube, 75, of Charlotte, died peacefully in the Vermont Respite House, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on Aug. 3, 1937, to Roland and Blanche (Benoit) Aube of Charlotte. He attended school in Charlotte and graduated from Edmunds High School in Burlington. Gerald served in the Vermont National Guard and worked on the family farm in Charlotte his entire life. He loved all animals and enjoyed caring for his farm cats. He spent many hours at Spears Store, helping out and keeping up with all the local 'goings-on'. Gerald's twinkling eyes, smile and laugh will be missed. He is survived by his siblings, Henry Aube of New York, Lorraine and Ed Holiday of California, George and Claire Aube of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Blanche Aube; and his brothers, Bernard and Percy Aube. There will be visiting hours to celebrate Gerald's life on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Shelburne Funeral Chapel, 209 Falls Rd., in Shelburne. The funeral will be at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church in Charlotte on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May it comfort you to know that he is in God's loving arms, that his courageous battle against cancer is over and he is now at peace.
