I Knew Josh from the TSA at Burlington Airport. I remember him as a lively, fun-loving, always ready with a joke young man. I salute him for his service to his country but greatly mourn his death at far too young an age. My deep condolences and thoughts to his family.

Josh is in a better place, and Steven DeLuzio will take care of him. He was there that dreadful day when my son was killed, and the weight of the world was on him. That weight is lifted now, and he is with God. He is an American Hero and I will always be indebted to him for his selfless service, and feel a closeness to him and his family since he shared a bind with my son that could never be broken. I lived on the same street as your family. All the neighborhood kids and I (including Josh) would play together when we were younger. After high school Josh and I haven't talked much except for a few exchanges. When I was deployed in 2007 & again in 2008 he messaged me on facebook to ask me how it was. Then again he messaged me when he was deployed to compare stories and ask where I was. My last memory of Josh was going through airport security and Josh was working. He got one of his co-workers and told them that I needed a thorough check (obviously, only joking around). He and I talked for a little while and parted ways. I still remember this incident clearly. It is also my last memory of Josh. He and I were never really close friends, but we were friends and brothers-in-arms. His death has hit me hard. I only wish he knew how much support he had.
