Robert LaGrow Obituary
Age: 62 • Williston
Robert W. LaGrow, 62 of Williston died on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at UVMC. He was born on May 22, 1953 the son of the late Hubert and Ruth (Jackson) LaGrow. In 1971 Bob graduated from Burlington High School, Champlain College 73' and the FBI Academy 121st Class in 1980 while he was working as a Sergeant with the Colchester Police Department. He later went on to work for the Essex Police Department. On April 4, 1981 he was married to Cynthia Brooks. Bob owned and operated Wedding Photographs working numerous weddings and special events for 25 years. He also started Apollo Limousine Service in 1984, running the business until he sold it in 1994. He served many years on the Burlington Amateur Hockey Assoc. & Colchester HS Hockey Boards.
Bob is survived by his wife Cindy LaGrow of Williston; his children Chad Dion and wife Becky of Colchester, Toby Alan Dion of Tempe, AZ, Danielle Dion and husband Alex Del Angel of Colchester, Victoria Cross and husband David of Essex Junction, and Benjamin LaGrow of Williston; his grandchildren Kayla, Taylor, and Luke Dion; Chloe, Olivia, Brandon, and Sylvanah Del Angel; his sister Gayle Lane and husband Stanley of Charlotte; his niece Virginia Lane of Colchester, and his nephew Gary Lane of West Chazy, NY. He was predeceased by his Parents Hugh and Ruth LaGrow and father and mother-in-law Almon and Freda Brooks.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday, September 20, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 21, at 11:00am in the Essex Alliance Church, 36 Old Stage Rd., Essex Junction. There will be no burial. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's memory may be made to Essex CHIPS, 2 Lincoln St. Essex Jct., VT 05452. To send online condolences to the family please visit www.readyfuneral.com.

I was so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. We had so many great conversations at the wedding table as he was our favorite photographer to work with! "Hi-ya Bob" is how I would greet you every morning through the 'Mr. Ed' door during our time together at 81 Main St in Essex. I surely missed you when the Essex PD moved over to their new digs on Maple Street. Every morning just wasn't the same without seeing your smiling face for our usual morning chat.
Even though I could call you or email you with a "Hi-ya Bob" it just wasn't the same.
Now I can only hold your memories close to my heart and remember your fun loving personality and your comforting smile.
I hope you rest in peace my friend, save me a seat, when I get there you will hear "Hi-ya Bob" again.

Prayers go out to the family as I know he will be missed. I have not seen Bob and family for many,many years but remember him with a smile. Our paths crossed on many occasions either at the rink or at the Holiday Inn Express where he was the photographer for many weddings. It was always a pleasure to have a conversation with him! One of the best.
