Miss Gassette was a quiet neighbor on Heath St when I was growing up. Always friendly and kind, but mostly keep to herself. I will always remember the Sabbs she drove, which were certainly unique at the time and not very popular, but she drove them for years. I recall a white one and a blue one. She was highly respected on Heath St., and am astonished at her long life.

Dear Joan & family,
I was fortunate to meet Veronique several years ago at a Trinity College Reunion and when I told her I was related to one of her college chums, one would have thought I was family by her greeting. My great aunt, Mary Crowley, was her school chum and recently inquired after Veronique.
On behalf on myself and the Trinity College of Vermont Alumni Board, I send our prayers & condolences to you and your family

Veronique was a very dear friend to my mother, Mary Joachim. They had graduated from Trinity College together.
Veronique had done our family tree for my father's side, which set in motion my interest. I visited her often at her Heath St home and we discussed memories of Burlington and our families. She was a very special lady and leaves behind much of her reseach that will aid many French-Canadien families in their quest for their roots.

Veronique was a very kind and intelligent lady. She was very strong in her Catholic faith. We went to visit her in her home in So. Burlington. She was very gracious and readily discussed our ancestry. She was first cousin to Loretta (Barbeau} Bettis and I'm Loretta's son. When we last saw her, she was 95 yrs old, still witty and still driving...Heaven has gained a new bright star. Charlie

Veronique was a very feisty lady - very positive in her love for her church, her heritage and devoted to her family and her special friends. Although she lived alone until she went to Pillsbury Manor, she was kept company by well- loved cats. I am happy to have known her.

Joan, So sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. I remember her so well all the times we played together at your house on Willard St.
