Wendell Peake Obituary
Hyde Park - Wendell E. Peake, 76, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Visitation will be held Monday, June 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Faith Funeral Home, 165 Brooklyn St., Morrisville. A celebration of Wendell's life will be held Tuesday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lamoille Union High School auditorium. A reception will follow at the 2nd Congregational Church in Hyde Park. Online condolences may be made and a full obituary may be viewed by visiting faithfh.net.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1Thessalonians 4:14 can bring much comfort. Just knowing that theres a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

I remember the hundreds of times Wendell helped me with various projects. He gave his all to everyone. Safe journey my old friend, see you on the other side.

Wendell was the manager of the Aubuchon Hardware in Morrisville when I started working there. It was my first real job and Wendell was a great person to work for. We had days of work that seemed fun, and we had days that were just fun. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone....that I can remember. I will never forget the time he had an accident that could have been very bad, but he seemed to continue just as though he had broken a finger nail. He was the person everyone wanted to call friend, and I'm glad our paths crossed and I got the chance to call him friend. I saw him not long ago at the new Aubuchons and didn't have the time to talk. Let me just say, I'll see you later my friend.

I've known Wendell since 1976 when I moved to the area, the go to guy at Abuchons where he always knew how to do household repairs of all kinds. Over the years Wendell guided me through plumbing projects, sold me several wood stoves, one or two kerosene heaters, electrical projects, cement and mortar, chimney brushes oh my gosh, not enough room. I am sad at his passing and my deepest condolences to his family. He was quite a fellow!
