Gladys Corine Simpson

Gladys Corine Simpson age 88 of Bertram passed away Friday, October 17, 2025. She was Born December 18, 1936,

in Austin to Thomas Monroe Pearson and Creola Jane Pearson. Gladys grew up in and around the Leander area.

Gladys was a member of First Baptist Church of Bertram. She loved being a Greeter welcoming members and visitors at the front door. Gladys was a Deacon's wife and supported him in fulfilling his Deacon responsibilities. Gladys Favorite Time of the year was the holidays and Family reunions.

Survivors include her son, Denton Lynn Simpson and wife Fay P. Simpson of Round Rock, Also surviving are granddaughters Allison Ehrman and husband Steve of Maryland and Adria Williams of Washington State; great grandchildren Joel and Ian Tokarchik of Maryland and Tristen Macmillan, Robert E. Williams and Erika Williams of Washington. Gladys also survived by brother Joe Pearson and wife Ida Nell Pearson of Bertram; Gladys was preceded in death by husband Bobby Franklin Simpson, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 P.M Friday, October 24, 2025 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet. Funeral services to be held at 2:00 P.M. October 24, 2025 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet with Reverend Gordon Bergstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Bertram. Those named as pallbearers were Ricky Pearson, Kenny Pearson, Hank Pearson, Lacy Pearson, Greg Gillis and Bill Evans.
