Gary Eugene Riggs

GARY EUGENE RIGGS Gary Eugene Riggs, 78, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Gary was born on February 16, 1947, in El Dorado, KS, to Gilbert E. Riggs and Edna Maxine Riggs. He was the oldest of two sons. Gary grew up in Augusta, KS, and graduated from Augusta High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Army as part of the 56th Artillery Group stationed in Germany from June 1968 to January 1970. In 1973, he began his career at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Topeka Plant, where he worked for nearly 37 years before retiring. On August 12, 1972, Gary married the love of his life, Roxanne K. Clifton. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children in Topeka. Gary is survived by his wife, Roxanne, and their children: Brandon Riggs, Rochelle Becker (Chad), and Jaime Critchfield (Casey). He was also a proud grandfather to two grandchildren who also survive: Jaisey Winford (JT) and Bayleigh Parsons (Harrison). Gary was a generous and supportive father and grandfather, and his love for his family was unwavering. His legacy lives on in their lives and in the memories they will carry forward. Gary was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Jerry Riggs. According to Gary's wishes, he was cremated, and there will be no formal services. However, he will forever be remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
