Linda May Conway

LINDA MAY CONWAY Linda May Conway was born on June 2, 1943 in El Dorado, Ks; the daughter of Jay K. and Eunice Aletha (Shields) Holstin. She was a 1961 graduate from El Dorado High School and achieved her associate's degree from Wichita State University. In 1985, she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" R. Conway in Miami, Ok. Linda was a disciplinary administrator for Winfield Department of Corrections for many years from which she retired. She loved to decorate cakes and made many wedding cakes for couples in El Dorado in the 80's. Sewing and especially quilting were her hobbies and she made many beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She loved all animals and especially her dogs. She rescued several including her loving dog Bell. Her greatest joy in life was her family which includes her daughter, NiCole (Kelly) Haworth of Augusta; sons, Jeff (Brenna) Patton of Dallas, Tx and Wesley Patton of Denver, Co; grandchildren, Ethan (Kylie) Haworth, Jordan (Shelby) Haworth, Logan (Charity) Haworth, Braedan Haworth, Hannah Patton, Elizabeth (Ryan) Carter, Bailey Wilkinson, Makenzie (Anthony) Walker, Dylan Patton, Sydney Patton, Cloey Patton and Lilly Patton; 13 great grandchildren; Clara, Case, Jaxon, Ava, Aydin, River, Ryzan, Wrecklan, Emerson, Eloise, Noah , Emrie and Harbor; and brother, Gary (Linda Kay) Holstin of Olathe. Linda passed away on April 12, 2023 in Wichita, Ks surrounded by her loving family & the precious staff of 7 tower at Wesley Hospital. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Bob and great grandson, David Haworth. Memorial contributions may be directed to Beauties and Beasts Rescue. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Carlson Colonial Chapel. Inurnment will take place at El Paso Cemetery in Derby.
