Timothy Wayne Verbeck

TIMOTHY WAYNE VERBECK Timothy Wayne Verbeck, 64, of El Dorado, previously of Winfield, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 11, 2025. Born November 21, 1960, in Winfield, he was the son of Charles Walter and Carolyn Louise (Beeman) Verbeck. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1978. He later attended Cowley County Community College taking auto mechanic classes. Tim married Paula Condit in June of 1983. The couple had two children, Winter and Buck, and later divorced. As a young man, Tim had a paper route with the Winfield Daily Courier. He owned and operated the Walnut Valley Skate Center with his parents. He worked for various oil companies, including Braden Petroleum. He later worked for Binney & Smith, Calmar, and as a trainer for Schneider National. He was currently working as a delivery driver for Max's Welding Supplies. Tim was united in marriage to Heather M. Wittum on October 26, 2018, after dating for 11 years. Tim was baptized at Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed tinkering and woodworking, he could build anything. He also enjoyed gardening and racing go-karts and RC cars, and loved riding motorcycles. He loved watching his grandchildren in their various activities. His family includes his wife Heather Verbeck of El Dorado; his children, Winter Palmer and husband, James of Simpsonville, SC; Buck Verbeck and wife Leigh Ann of Maize; his step-children, Devin and Dylan Wittum of El Dorado; his sister Julia Langley and husband, Joe of Winfield; his grandchildren, Talon and Tucker Verbeck, and Darius and Autumn Palmer; his niece Hannah Blanton and husband, Tate of Bentonville, AR; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carolyn Verbeck, and his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Miles Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery northwest of Winfield. Memorials have been established in Tim's name for The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society and for the Cowley County Humane Society.
