Carl Barton Obituary

Carl L. Barton Jr., 64, of Chicora passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Dec. 3, 1950, in Kittanning, he was the son of Carl Sr. and Mary (Bowser) Barton.
Carl graduated from Worthington High School in 1968 and was a member of the Worthington Baptist Church, where he previously served as deacon and Sunday school teacher.
After graduating high school, he worked for five years at the Butler County Mushroom Farm. Then in February of 1973 he became employed at Dumbaugh Electric Motors. In 1990 he became a part owner of Dumbaugh Electric Motors, where he was owner and executive until October 2012, when he became disabled from a massive stroke.
Carl's main goal in life was to meet the Lord in Heaven and to make a stand for Christ to teach his children the ways of the Lord so they could meet him, too.
Carl was a very hard worker, whose hobbies were being a farmer, tractors, farm equipment and exotic animals.
Before his unfortunate disability, he was in the process of getting his pilot's license.
He gave his family many happy memories through his love of the Lord and his wit and wisdom.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Susan (Crawford) Barton, who he married Nov. 7, 1970.
He was the father of two sons, Brent (Tracee) Barton of East Brady and Daniel (Ashton) Barton of Chicora; and one daughter, Alesia (Thomas) King of Fenelton.
He was the proud pappy to Stephanee, Benjamin, Jacob, Samuel, Brandon and Isabella; and the great-pappy to Mayzee, who all loved him dearly.
He is also survived by his father, Carl Barton Sr. of Worthington; and three brothers, Barry (Karen) Barton of Butler, Scott (Pam) Barton of Worthington and Boyd (April) Barton of Cowansville.
Carl was preceded in death by his precious mother, Mary, who he loved dearly, along with two brothers, Shawn and Jeffrey Barton.
BARTON - Friends of Carl L. Barton Jr., who died Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington.
Additional viewing will be at 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Friday at the Worthington Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Joseph T. Simpson.
Interment will take place at the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.
