I loved Cleo. She was a wonderful friend. Even after we moved away she kept in contact through Facebook and cards. We will miss her quiet smiles and encouragement.

I was a classmate of Cleo's at the House of the Good Samaritan School of nursing in Watertown, N.Y. from 1960-1963. I then lost track of her for many years until a chance meeting at a place in the Adirondacks where we were both enjoying a short vacation and a quiet evening on the little beach. We did not recognize each other until we exchanged names at the end of the evening . It was so good to see her ! She was living in Pa. and already widowed at that time. Our next, and sadly our last, meeting was at our 50 year reunion. Again, wonderful to see her. She was somewhat older, and considerably more mature than the rest of us when she entered the nursing profession, but she was a remarkably kind person who was always willing to help in whatever way she was able. Two of us were just the other day wondering if she was still with us, and now we know. Even though I rarely saw Cleo, I will miss her.

I was so very saddened to hear of Cleo´s passing. She was truly one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever known. I will fondly remember our many, many chats and dog walks together over the years. Rest peacefully, my dear friend.

My deepest sympathy to Cleo´s sister & family. I´m a neighbor of Cleo´s & will miss seeing her walking her dog in the mornings. She was such a lovely person always with a smile & a warm hello. She´ll now be walking with all those furry friends in heaven.
God Bless Her.
