Daniel Macko Obituary
Born March 1, 1964, in Butler, he was a son of the late Daniel Macko and Judith Nicholson Macko.
Danny's passion was music, and over his lifetime he enjoyed the company of many friends from the local rock scene. Danny had a wonderful voice and an even more wonderful heart, as he was loved and will be missed by many.
Surviving is his mother, Patricia; his sister, Rachel; his brothers, Josh and Mike; and a number of nieces and nephews.
MACKO - Private funeral services for Daniel "Danny" Peter Macko, who died Sunday, May 7, 2017, will be conducted for his family, and a celebration of his life will be later.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Geibel Funeral Home, Butler.

Thank-you for all the kind words for my Big Bro Danny.What a blast from the past seeing some of your names.Paul,TG,Christo,Nelson Randy,to name a few.He aleays had the vinyl spinning in the basement.Turned me on to many bands as a young girl.Bought me Tommy by the Who on 8 track when I was 10.Best Christmas ever!! Miss him .

I knew Danny forever. He has lived with me. Always been my friend when I needed one. Besides his spectacular voice, he had the biggest heart. Truly one of my best friend's. I will miss you greatly babe. Love u.

In high school days, I remember hanging out in Macko's basement listening to albums and watching the boys jam. Orange Julius was another one of our hangouts. For a little guy, Dan was a leader. He was very intelligent and well respected. I bumped into him many times over the years. No matter how much time had passed, we still had that same respect and friendship from our youth. He always kept my address and sent me his schedule so I could see his band jam. He is a good friend and will be sadly missed. He died doing the thing he loved most...On stage jamming. You rock, my brother!! RIP

Danny and I served in the Marines together and became quick friends for life. He for me through some bad times and will miss his text messages and phone calls on Sunday morning to see what was new. We had a bond that transcends time and space. My prayers go out to his family and will miss my friend very much. Love ya Macko

Being a friend of Danny for35 years i have a ton of great memories that will live on for the rest of my life im so proud to have had Danny as a friend ,he was an amazing gift from god . Rest in peace my friend ,dont ever let the music stop, till we meet again

I spent the past couple days driving by and looking at some of the doors I saw you walk out of. The Butler Road address when you were actually still bigger than your brothers. The place up by the hospital and the Institute Hill Pharmacy joint. The place down behind the old K of C. CJ's pad where I last saw you. Not to mention all the places we hung out. I will never in my life drive past any of those doors and not see you standing there. I hope and pray that I see you again on the other side. RIP Brother, You'll be missed.

My deepest sympathies & condolences to the entire Macko family & i thank you 4 everything you've done in support of his beautiful soul & being a warm, welcoming presence to me when he'd grace me within your home. He was family to me... an older brother & guiding force that led me to become the man i am today, thanks to his genuine honesty & unconditional brotherly devotion to me, as with everyone else he affected through his life. As cliche as it may sound, i'll say again there was literally no one like Danny & i'll probably never again know anyone with his insight & personality. I loved him in life & always will... i can only hope that i can aspire to be half the man he was. My heart breaks for your family, but please know & understand that you're not alone & you're also loved by the many that knew & respected Dan. Again... my deepest sympathies & condolences to all of you.
