Daryl Alben Obituary
Daryl graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1980 and had worked on the family farm as a young man; he was a carrier for the Butler Eagle and later worked in food service as a pizza preparer.
He was a former member of Worth Grange and Friend Parish Church (former Wolf Creek Presbyterian Church) of Worth Township and was a Pittsburgh sports teams fan. He loved country music concerts and was an avid fan of Dan Schall.
Survivors include his father, Willard L. Alben of Slippery Rock; two brothers, Scott A. Alben of Slippery Rock and Brian W. (Tina C.) Alben of Butler.
He is preceded in death by his mother; and sister in-law, Ruth Alben in 2022.
ALBEN - The family of Daryl Leroy Alben, who died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, will receive friends from noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St. Slippery Rock.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Meling, retired pastor of Slippery Rock, presiding.
Interment will follow in Slippery Rock Cemetery.
