Dean McGregor Obituary
Dean was born Aug. 18, 1929, in Clay Township, Butler County. He was the son of the late Ira Matthew McGregor and the late Rose Brown McGregor. Dean proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, where he received the Purple Heart during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Springdale Lutheran Church. Dean retired in 1997 as a poultry farmer and loved gardening.
Dean is survived by one daughter, Terry R. (Russell) Fletcher of Butler; two sons, Robert E. (Lori Smith) McGregor of Butler and Richard D. (Nastacia) McGregor of West Sunbury; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. One sister-in-law, Katherine McGregor, also survives.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife; one son; one grandson; one daughter-in-law; two brothers; and two sisters.
MCGREGOR - Visitation for family and friends of Dean Ivan McGregor, who died Sunday, June 11, 2023, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Dennis Protzman, his pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.

Terry, Bobby, and Richie,
We have nothing but great memories of our visits to Aunt Helen and Uncle Dean's farm. With all trials and tribulations of farm living, not to mention having a regular job too, Dean had a sense of humor. Can see him laughing at the kids. I will not be attending services. I had a heart attack and stent insertion last Friday. I am at home recuperating. Just know I am send all of you my deepest sympathy and lots of prayers.
