Dennis Hammond, 71, of Saxonburg passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, at Magnolia Place in Saxonburg.
Born Nov. 14, 1949, in Butler, he was a son of the late Clinton D. and Margaret C. (Walsh) Hammond.
He was retired from the Social Security Administration as a claims adjuster following 30 years service.
Dennis enjoyed flower gardening and he enjoyed birds. He was a collector of "gadgets" and enjoyed an assortment of tools.
Surviving is his step-son, Slade (Nellie) Spencer of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew Spencer; and four siblings, Sally (Ric Mishkin) Hammond of New York, Leah J. (John) Dusheck of Butler, Alice M. (Richard) Baptiste of Butler and Robert M. (Donna) Hammond of Michigan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wynn E. Hammond.
Hammond - Friends of Dennis Hammond, who died Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St. Butler.
A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Harrisville Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
