Edith Coyle Obituary

Edith A. Coyle, of West Sunbury, a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.
She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, compassion and quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. She was well-known as a firecracker who lit up every room she was in.
Eydie was a proud Vietnam Era veteran who served honorably in the United States Air Force. She carried her sense of duty and service with her throughout her life. She enjoyed simple pleasures - reading, working on puzzles, redecorating … often, and spending quiet moments with loved ones. Yet she found some of her greatest joy in giving back to her community. She volunteered countless hours at the American Legion and was deeply passionate about supporting other veterans. Her dedication, kindness and willingness to help anyone in need made her a beloved presence throughout the community.
Eydie's memory will be carried forward in the lives of those she touched and in the countless acts of kindness she offered without hesitation. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Eydie is survived by her loving husband, James D. Coyle; her brother, Michael (Rebecca) McAllister; and her five children who will forever cherish her fiery spirit as well as her resilience and strength, Tommi Coyle, James Coyle, Christine (Matthew) Brothers, Tori (Paul) Bupp-Malone and Jason Bupp; as well as numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A McAllister and Clara A McGee; as well as her son, Paul A Juliano, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
In reflection of Eydie's faith and the comfort it brought her, the family shares a passage inspired by the "Footprints" poem, which was one of her favorites:
"During life's hardest moments, when the path felt heavy and the journey lonely, it was then that she was carried - lifted by love, grace and the strength she never walked without."
COYLE - In accordance with her request, there will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies for Edith A. Coyle, who died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2025.
DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth St., Freeport, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
