STUPID CANCER. I will miss Eric and the little boy he was and the young man he grew to be . I always called him a mix between Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone. I loved that about him. He was so down to earth and easy going. And so darn tall....his laugh, his smile. I love you Eric and always will. Thank you for allowing me to be...your Crazy Aunt Cindy...

Dear Scott, Theo and Shawn, we wish to express our sincere and heartfelt sympathy. Loosing a child has to be the hardest thing a parent would have to live through. He is in God's loving arms and suffering no more. You have to feel so proud for having such a loving and wonderful son who touched so many in his short life. May God give you strength to get through the days and years ahead.

Theo, Scott, Emily and Shawn,

My heart is heavy and my tears are frequent but I also have such a deep sense of peace. You are right, Theo, Eric did get his miracle in a sense, his pain and suffering is gone.

I remember that tiny little boy with the dark hair and the beautiful smile and that giggle of his. He befriended my son in preschool and they continue to be best buds today. I blinked my eyes and he was all grown up and towered over most of us -- but he was such a gentle "giant" and gave freely of his friendship and love.

Eric has always been a true and constant friend, a loving son, husband, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin.
Steve and Dan so enjoyed hunting with Eric and Shawn and would come home with hilarious tales of flying pheasants.

We are so blessed to have him in our lives and we are better people for having known him.

One of my greatest defining moments of my life has been to be a proud member of Team Eric. We will continue Eric's battle and my hope and prayer is that a cure for all cancer will be found.

We hold all of you in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers.

Dear Theo, Scott, Shawn and Emily,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Eric's passing. His shyness, his quiet giggles, that smile that lit up his face and his fear of needles, which gave us a reason to hold his hand, will be forever etched in our minds. We met under terrible circumstances however our lives have been forever changed having known Eric. The "Ericettes", as Dr. Thimons would call us will live on forever. God Bless you all during this difficult time.

Our families deepest sympathies go out to the whole family. Our boys, Johnathan and Alex, had Eric and Emily both at VBS in Forestville and Adventure club at Highland in SR. They were always so impressed with him (as were we even though we never met personally)to actually have a good young male role model for our kids. We were thrilled to hear he and Emily were moving in across the road from us. We are so sorry for your loss, just know that he is in a better place and that he is part of God's plan in heaven. There must have been a job waiting for him there.

When I saw your son's picture and read the obituary, it hit very close to home for me. Also farmers, my husband and I also lost our son to melanoma. Your sons' battle started 3 years ago, and our sons' ended at that time. He was 33. I am so sorry for you because I know as a mother what you had to go through also. I know your heart and just wanted to tell you that you are in my prayers.

Dear Kellogg family,
I do not know you personally, but I was so moved by Eric's obituary that I wanted to not only express my sympathy for your terrible loss but also my incredible admiration for this wonderful young man. Eric was obviously not only greatly loved, but gave even greater love back to all who knew and cared for him. A rare individual in an age where so many are driven by the worst instincts and darkest aspects of their nature - Eric was a true gentleman. What a joy and honor it must have been for all of you to have known and loved him. May the difficult days ahead be softened by the bright light of this very brave, kind and exeptional young man.
