Irene J. Baxter
Irene J. Baxter, 79, of Pinewood Lane, Butler, passed away at 1:36 a.m. Saturday in the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Harrisburg, Jan. 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Lynn and Myrtle Hunt Lynn.
Mrs. Baxter was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
In her earlier years, she was employed by the Davy & Hilliard Drug Store in Butler and was a homemaker in her later years.
She also enjoyed bowling with friends. She was the ultimate caregiver.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Baxter. They were married Feb. 19, 1959. Also surviving are one son, Scott Baxter of East Butler; three sisters, Marie Philips of Butler, Joann Biernesser of Glenshaw and Helen Thomas of Vancouver, Wash.; one brother, Arthur Lynn of Butler; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ellwynn, Donald and Howard Lynn; and two sisters, Florence Bellis and Dorothy Robb.
BAXTER - In respect of the wishes of Irene J. Baxter, who died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, private family visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. Public funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday from Trinity Lutheran Church with Vicar Scott Schul and the Rev. Thomas M. Pierotti, both of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park.
