James Hilscher Obituary

James "Jay" Richard Hilscher, 67, of Beaver Falls, formerly of Moon Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, while surrounded by his family.
Recently retired, Jay spent more than 30 years in the food brokerage business.
Jay was a true patriarch to his growing family and an irreplaceable fixture within his close-knit circle of friends. He very generously shared his heart with his loved ones and extended that love to anyone who happened to come through his door. He made everyone feel right at home with his presence. An avid golfer, if Jay was on your team, you probably won.
Jay is survived by his wife, Jan Hilscher; son, Jay Hilscher Jr.; daughter, Lindsay Freeman (Ryan); stepsons, Ron Cramer (Julieann White) and Andy Cramer (Courtney); a stepdaughter, Monica Carusone (Anthony); and seven grandchildren, Isaac, Amelia, Evelyn, Aria and Ethan Hilscher, Kennedy Cramer and Anthony Carusone Jr. He also is survived by his brother, Hyde Woodhall Hilscher (Susan); and his sister, Lorraine Mossbarger.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory T. "Greg" Hilscher.
HILSCHER - Friends of James "Jay" Richard Hilscher, who died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, will be received from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Dindinger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Tee - Pittsburgh at FirstTeePittsburgh.org/donate.

May the Lord Bless you Jay. My life was made richer for having known you.

Many a fond memory in work and good cheer. You had an easy manner that made friendship immediate and lasting. A megawatt smile that lit a room.

You will forever remain in my memory friend.

Lord, please bless the soul of our dear friend. Jay was a wonderful, caring and loving person. You were always there for everyone and we loved you so much for your unselfishness.
Everyone that ever was lucky enough to have you in their life and especially to have you as a friend knows how blessed they were. You made every time together from a simple conversation to a golf game to business event better because you were part of it.
I know you will be looking down and wanting the very best for all of us that you left behind way too soon. You will forever be held close in our hearts. Please save me a seat at the Lord´s table, I know you will, you´re that kind of person and friend.
I will forever know how blessed I am that I was able to call you my dear friend.
Thank you & God Bless. GB
