John Correll Obituary
Born Oct. 12, 1944, in Scranton, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Glorius Correll.
John graduated from Corry Area School District in June of 1962 and Edinboro University in 1966 with a B.S. in chemistry.
He taught school in Bemus Point, N.Y., for five years, and in the Corry School District for 31 years. John coached track, football and cross-country. He retired in June of 2003, and moved to Zelienople in 2008.
John is survived by his wife, Mary (Mick) Correll, whom he married Aug. 26, 1967; a daughter, Catharine (Jon) Palmer; a son Timothy Correll; and four grandchildren, Abigail (Matt) Palmer Holmes, Lane Palmer, Bianca Correll and Sophia Correll.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia (Correll) Sterling; and two nephews, Scott Sterling and Brandon Koestner.
CORRELL - A memorial service to honor the life of John Charles Correll, who died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
Donations may be made in John's memory to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
