KCHS Class of 77 Reunion - 10/13/2012

Captain Oh Captain...

I've been friends with Kirk since back in 7th grade. We lived the ups and downs of growing up at Karns City High School. I saw him go from a "skinny little kid" to a darn good basketball player. I'll never forget the time we went stereo shopping down in Pittsburgh. We walked into a store and we both blown away by CSN's "Dark Star" playing on a high end stereo system.

I am so glad we had a chance to get together at our 35th high school reunion - just two weeks ago!?! It was great to have a chance to talk with an old friend. He beamed as he showed me pictures of his daughters. We exchanged phone numbers and were planning to up at a concert this evening.

The news of his passing absolutely blew me away. My heart goes out to his entire family, but especially his daughters - that he obviously loved so much.

Godspeed my friend!
