Kolby Clouse Obituary

Kolby Rick Clouse, 18, peacefully left this world Friday surrounded by family and friends at home after a lifelong battle with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Born Nov. 3, 1998, he is the son of Eric and Cindy Miller Clouse. Kolby graduated from Butler High School in June 2017. During his time there, he was voted the 2015 Homecoming Prince and the 2017 Prom King.
Although his time with us was too short, Kolby's presence greatly impacted everyone he encountered, and he will always be remembered for his contagious smile, calm nature, perseverance, wit and courage. Kolby's loves in life included bantering with his best friend and twin sister, Kayci; laughing around the campfire with neighbors and friends; RZRing adventures on the hillsides; Friday night visits with Ryan Rebmann and Reece Orloski; camping trips to Benezette; chatting about engines, cars and trucks; truck rides with Matt Dunn and his cousin, Gabe Clouse; being entertained by his lively cousin, Cassie Clouse; and his annual guys gone wild trip to Chris Erdos's house in Florida.
Kolby is survived by his parents, Eric and Cindy Clouse of Butler; his twin sister, Kayci Clouse at home; his sister, Sissy Crystal Young-Erdos and her husband, Matthew, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his niece Ayla; his honorary brother, Scott Young and his wife, Maggi, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and his nephew, Foster; and his niece, Austen.
He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Edie Miller, of Kittanning; his uncle, Aaron, and aunt, Connie, Clouse, of Adrian, Pa.; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Son and Peg Clouse of Adrian; and his uncle, Rick Clouse of Adrian.
CLOUSE - Friends of Kolby Rick Clouse, who died Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Limestone/Reesedale Church of God, 115 Brown Road, Adrian.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Limestone/Reesedale Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to Make-A-Wish, 4742 N. 24th St., Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

It is with an aching heart that I send you my condolences for the loss of Kolby. I know how hard you fought to keep him in this world, and your love for him was a powerful force against his illness. I can still see his bright blue eyes shining from his little face as he encountered the mysterious new world of kindergarten. He couldn't help but be everyone's favorite student and friend. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
