Linda Byrd Obituary

Linda (Markle) Byrd, 62, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2025.
She was born in Butler on July 9, 1963, to Nancy (Denny) Markle and the late Gerald Markle.
Linda graduated from Butler High School in 1981 and furthered her education at Slippery Rock University, where she earned her elementary education degree. In her early life, Linda was a member of the Butler High School's marching band and the General Butler Vagabonds. She was employed as an elementary school teacher for the Houston, Texas, Independent School System.
Linda loved all Pittsburgh sports and her dogs, especially her chow chow, Capone.
Linda is survived by her mother; siblings, Gerald "Jerry" (Sandy) Markle and Gregory S. Markle; one nephew; two nieces; one uncle; several aunts; and numerous cousins.
BYRD - Arrangements for Linda (Markle) Byrd, who died Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, were made through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Butler.
Donations may be made to the Animal Hospital of Valencia, Angel Program, 4075 Adair Ave., Suite 3, Valencia, PA 16059.
