Marcin Domaradzki, 86, of Arlington Avenue died Sunday at his home.
Born Nov. 11, 1919, in Zogor-ze, Poland, he was a son of Michal and Anna Domaradzki.
Mr. Domaradzki retired from Pullman Standard, where he was a welder from 1953 until his retirement when the plant closed.
During World War II, he served in the Polish armed forces under the command of Great Britain and the United States. He earned the Polish Army Medal, the British 1939-1945 Star and the France and Germany Star. He was a member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora.
He was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora. He also was a member of the Highfield Community Center Board of Directors and the secretary of the Polish National Alliance Lodge 45 in Lyndora.
Surviving are his wife, Nora Ryan Domaradzki, whom he married Dec. 23, 1950, in Bradford, England; two sons and their wives, Jon and Sarah Domaradzki of Butler and Richard and Cindy Domaradzki of Porter Ranch, Calif.; a daughter and her husband, Susann and John Gresch of Tujunga, Calif.; and nine grandchildren, Stephen and Will Gresch, Jessi Strand, Kristofer Domaradzki, Erica Strand and Hannah, Kelly, Michal and Megan Domaradzki. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
DOMARADZKI - Friends of Marcin Domaradzki, who died Sunday, June 25, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will hold a parish prayer service at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
