Marlene Norris Obituary

Marlene L. Norris, 81, of Tarentum, passed away peacefully in her home in Fawn Township on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026.
Born Jan. 19, 1945, in Fawn Township, she was the daughter of Edith A. Turner and raised by her maternal grandparents, Edwin and Anna Turner. Marlene lived a full and meaningful life in Fawn Township.
Marlene attended Tarentum High School. She worked in several roles but held positions as office manager and assistant for many years to Dr. Robert Barrage, DDM, of Natrona Heights, and as secretary and treasurer of D & D Auto Salvage of Tarentum, from which she retired in 2007. She served long term as Fawn Township planning and zoning commissioner and supervisor in the past. She was a member of the Fawn Volunteer Fire Department No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
Marlene was a racing enthusiast and spent most of her years involved in following racing of all types; most notably in the support of her family members that raced at Lernerville Speedway. It was her true passion. She was an avid reader and even had her own library. She was highly regarded for her knowledge, involvement and assistance in the community over the years. She and her husband enjoyed their later years as snowbirds in Florida.
Surviving are her husband, David A. Norris Sr.; two sons, David (Mary Lou) Norris Jr. and Michael (Anne) Norris, both of Sarver; her grandchildren David (Julie) Norris III, of Tarentum, Michael (Jessi) Norris, of Sarver, and Melinda (Nico) Dabecco, of Natrona Heights; as well as eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Also surviving are her sister, Elaine (John) Morrow, of Saxonburg; and her brother, Edward Leya, of Russellton.
NORRIS - There will be no public services for Marlene L. Norris, who died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026.
She will be laid to rest in the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, in Sarver.
Memorial donations may be made to the South Butler Community Library or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were entrusted to FOX FUNERAL HOME, Saxonburg.

Marlene and I were life long friends...we grew up as neighbors and friends on Sun Mine Road and started to school together. My sincerest condolences to David and family, may God bless you all.
