To my Uncle Paul,
After my dad passed away in 1954 you and Aunt Honey gave me and my mom enduring love and support during that difficult time and years afterwards. Several times you drove me and my mom to Pittsburgh for my speech therapy in 1955-56. You also took me to an ear specialist in Butler during that time. Several years later you took me, Danny, Jeff, and Uncle Zip to a Pirates double-header where we sat in a private box under the upper deck at Forbes Field. While I was in college you gave me my first job for the summer of 1967. This is a short list of the many things you have done for me.
It was an honor when you and Aunt Honey were at my mom's house when I brought Jeanne to introduce her to my mom. Now Aunt Honey has called you to be with her. Uncle Paul, I am grateful for all you have done for me. May God bless you, keep you, and love you.

Paul's Family - sorry to hear of his passing along with his wifes. Paul held a special place in my heart as we did a number of things together after he returned from the war and before I left Butler to the Korean war. Paul and Bernice had me over for dinner and a nice discussion before I left. May the Lord be with him and Bernice.

Dear Hilovsky Family,
I'm Michelle Macko Hicks and I'm the grandaughter of John Hilovsky. My parents are Ed and Eileen Macko. My sister Lisa and I would spend the summers with our grandparents and I always remember your parents at various family functions. I remember calling your dad Uncle Pauly. He was always happy and smiling. Even as a little girl, I remember his pleasant personality and wit. He was different from my grandfather and I remember by grandmother Julie always had nice things to say about Paul and his family. I did not know about your dad's service in the military, God bless him for his service to our country. I am deeply sorry for your loss, for both your parents.
Thanks for the opportunity to post this note.

Diane, Michelle,
Mom and I have all of you in our prayers. We wish we could be there for you, but we are in our hearts. I will miss both of your parents. I loved coming home to see them. All I can think of now is that Grandma has all of her brothers and sisters together. We love you all!!

Dear Jeff, Larry, Michelle and Diane,
I cannot even begin to imagine what you are going through right now. When you lose a parent, it is devastating......when two die within a week of each other, it has to be absolutely overwhelming, and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.......A special memory of your Father.........when my husband Stan died, the Legion had a service for him at the funeral home, and at the time, your Mom and Dad were there. When the service began, your Dad made me so happy when he joined in with the other members, and participated in the ceremony and saluted Stan with pride. I will never forget that moment and how special it was to me at the time.......
As I stated before, you were blessed with special parents and the memories you have will keep you strong, and their memories alive.
God Bless, Cousin, Patti Kazimer

I worked with Valerie Aponte and she talked about her Grandfather almost on a daily basis. I almost felt like I knew him.I know that Valerie and her family loved him dearly.
