Ruby Aiken Badger
Ruby Aiken Badger, 97, of West Park Road, Porter-sville, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior on Sunday surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 31, 1914, in Portersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence Aminta White Aiken.
She was married for 31 years to Raymond E. Badger, who passed away Aug. 20, 1972.
Ruby was formerly employed at Stewart's China and Gift Shop in Portersville. An active member of the Presbyterian Church of Portersville, she taught Sunday school for 65 years, belonged to the Ladies Missionary Society and helped with vacation Bible school.
A graduate of Lincoln High, Ruby loved being outdoors, where she worked in her vegetable and flower gardens and cared for her ponies. Her most precious time was spent cooking, baking and traveling with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Ralph) Phillips of Portersville; two granddaughters, Kristan (Greg) Wall and Rachel (Mark) Witterman; a grandson, Jonathan (Ashley) Phillips; three great-granddaughters, Leah Wall, Anna Witterman and Tessa Witterman; and two great- grandsons, Max Phillips and Noah Wall.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Carl "Ben" and John Aiken, and three sisters, Lulu "Toot" Miller, Mary Caldwell and Alda Prinzi.
BADGER - Visiting hours for Ruby Aiken Badger, who passed away, Sunday, March 18, 2012, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.
There will be one hour of visitation at the Portersville Presbyterian Church before the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Her pastor, the Rev. Dana Opp, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Portersville Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Portersville or to the Beaver County Christian School, 37 St. Ext., Beaver Falls.

Sandy, sorry to hear about your mother
but what memories you must have. Because
your mother and dad lived in the same house as us when they were first married,I thought they were family. What a difference you mother made in this world. she will be missed.

Sandy and Ralph, So very sorry to read about Ruby. I have many wonderful memories of her, especially with the youth group. We had a "luau" at her house,,,it was a hoot! I believe she even wore a grass skirt. Joyce (Mick) Bagnall
