Steven Flanigan Obituary
He was born in Butler on Sept. 7, 1976, the son of Patrick and Patricia (Beitch) Flanigan.
After graduating from Knoch High School, Steve attended Butler County Community College and graduated with a degree in computer drafting. Most recently, he worked for Star Flite Systems. He had a very strong Catholic faith and was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. He also enjoyed being a member of American Legion Post 778.
In a word, Steve was authentic. Additionally, he was kind, generous, principled and intelligent. He was always his true self and lived every day by the morals and values instilled in him by his parents. He was meticulous with his work as a designer. You could go into his office any day and as he would say, "It's always ready if the pope were to visit." Steve was a "look you in the eye and extend a hand to shake" kind of guy. He always focused on what mattered, and what mattered most to him was his family and friends. He was always there to help anyone in need. He enjoyed watching the Pens win, rooting for the Pirates and watching the Steelers on Sunday with his dad. In 2015 Steve met, and would later marry, Jennifer Ciccone. They spent the next seven years making each other better.
Along with his wife Jennifer, he is survived by his parents Pat and Patti Flanigan; and his siblings, Joey (Pam) Flanigan and Tricia (Bill) Cress. He also is survived by his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Olivia, Audrey, Sophia, Leo, Jules and Izzy.
Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Shawn Flanigan; and his grandparents, Nick and Mary Beitch and Don and Luella Flanigan.
FLANIGAN - Family and friends of Steven P. Flanigan, who died Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul's Food Bank.

I only knew Steve through his beautiful wife Jenny. I've known Jenny since she was 2 years old. The two of them had such a beautiful relationship and were an example of love, joy, and humor. A sweeter couple you would never find. To my Jenny, there are no words, at least none that can erase the heartache, or make sense of this tragedy.
The only comfort I have to give you is knowing the love goes with Steve and will forever remain with you. Please try grasp that God is good, He loves you and Steve, He will NEVER leave you or forsake you, and He remains in control of your life. Don't let go, Jenny even though it makes no sense. Steve is with God now, but he is no less with you. Just look in your heart and he will always be there.
To the Flanigan family, I know your pain is great, but your faith is greater. I am praying diligently and constantly for your family, because I've been where you are and I am living proof that God is faithful and He will see you through to the other side of this heartache. After all, He too lost His Son and understands. My deepest love goes out to all of you.
