I met Sue at Comtra Theater when we were both cast in "How to Succeed in Business", and found her to be a wonderful, caring and talented lady. (She was a great "Smitty"!) I am glad I got to her know such a beautiful person. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Our sympathy on the lost of such a talented person such as Sue. We knew her through Comtra theatre. She even let us rehearse in her home. Her battle struggles with her health were one that she rarely shared with others, preferring to fight on her own.She will be sadly missed.

Gary, Although I'm sure that you know how much Susan touched the hearts and souls of those that she worked with, I wanted to let you know how much it meant to me to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful and caring person. In talking with Susan in the years since we both left Allegheny, I know that she had come to recognize the need to live each day to its fullest. I am truly sorry that she did not have the opportunity to live many more of those days. Although the thoughts and prayers of others cannot fill the void that you and the boys are feeling, I hope that you can find at least a little bit of comfort in knowing that Susan will be missed by many whose lives she touched in so many ways.

I originally met Susan when I was working at USHealthcare and she was with Allegheny General. Since we were responsible for a joint project between our two organizations, we spent a LOT of time together and subsequently became friends. (I remember that she always said "Hello, friend" on the phone.) I prayed for Susan from the onset of her illness, and was so happy that she was doing so well. I last spent time with her in March or April when we spoke at length about work, our families and Asperger Syndrome. She was doing well then. After that, there were a few e-mails and I got caught up in my life and looking for a job. I can't explain the sadness that I feel that I didn't know she resumed her battle with her illness. I am grateful for our last lunch at Bravo (with Susan adhering her dietary beliefs, as usual), when we laughed and talked and were friends. I districtly remember her telling me that she was going to buy a T-shirt that said "I am not Jobe". I am sure that when she got to heaven Job embrased her and said "yea, but you were close!". I, and the world will miss a truly good person.

Susan gave so much of herself, to her work, to teaching, to her community and to her family. I enjoyed working with her and learned a great deal from her. I will remember her for the passion that she brought to all that she did.

I will be forever grateful for Susan's contributions to the CTAA. My son and I had a better little league baseball experience because of her commitment to the Association and to the kids of Cranberry Twp. Thank you Susan and God Bless you and your family.
