Ona Louise Housker, age 89, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the Gundersen Tweeten Care Center in Spring Grove.
She was born on a very cold night on January 11, 1936, at home to Clarence and Gelina (Johnson) Moen. She was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran of Black Hammer and was a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. She attended grade school in Black Hammer and graduated from Spring Grove High School class of 1954.
After graduation, she worked at Mansfield Argus, Control Data Corporation, and Northern Engraving. Ona met her husband Norman Housker at Mansfield Argus, and they were married October 28, 1955.
Ona enjoyed their boat house, camping with family and friends, and neighbors, also gardening, feeding the birds, and was a Minnesota Twins fan. She enjoyed Country Music.
She is survived by her sons Richard (Caroline) Housker of
Caledonia, MN, Roger Housker of Spring Grove, and Ronald (Tami) Housker of
Caledonia, MN; grandchildren Christina (Chris) Paggi, Rachel Housker, Karl (Grace) Housker, Carrie (Dan) Schansberg, Isaac Housker; step-grandchildren Dustin Ranzenberger, Britney Ranzenberger, Caleb Rose; great-grandchildren Cletus Uhlenhake, Dietrick Bugenhagen, Gavin Paggi, Henry, Marvin and Stanley Schansberg; step-great-grandchildren Alice Jones, Anjelica Gunther, Brayden Rose; and sister Ruth Omoth and brother-in-law Arlin Sorenson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, Clifton Moen and Carlton Moen, Edna Hanson, Eleanor and Arthur Hegge, Glen Omoth, Clarence and Vivian Housker, Ruben and Talley Housker, Arnold and Gorda Housker, Leland and Gloria Housker, Alton and Rosie Housker, and Delores Sorenson.
Ona's family is very grateful for the care she received at Gundersen Tweeten Care and Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 4th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery. Pastor Lane Zaffke will officiate. Friends may call Thursday from 10-11 A.M. at the church.
Roble Funeral Home of Spring Grove is assisting the family with arrangements.
