Glenda Fox Obituary

Mrs. Glenda Mae Roe Fox, 82, a lifelong resident of Calhoun, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Glenda was born in Gordon County, Georgia, on August 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Fain and Nannie Mae (Jim) Smith Roe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Roe. She was a 1959 Graduate of Red Bud High School. Following high school, she attended Shorter College in Rome, GA, and graduated with a Degree in Business. She felt her highest achievement in life was becoming a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was indeed a homemaker and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 60 plus years, William "Buddy" Fox; three daughters, JoAnn Akins, Ginger (Marshall) Floyd, and Denise (James) Chambliss, all of Calhoun, GA.; grandchildren, Jill Aldridge, Jody (Casey) Tumlin, Jana Aldridge, Wesley (Adrian) Kearney, Jesse (Kayla) Bennefield, Tyler (Chelsa) Cooper, Cameron (Amber) Foster; great-grandchildren, Madilyn Burgess, Grayson Tomlin, Logan Banks, Brynleigh Bennefield, Rilyn Cooper, Logan Bryson, Emma Kate Cooper; two brothers, Randy (Sherry) Roe of Calhoun, GA., and Johnny (Kathy) Roe of Belton, SC. Along with other relatives. Her Best friend was Jane Childers.

A graveside service for Mrs. Fox will be held on Monday, November 14th at 4:00 PM with Rev(s) Jason Parker, Harley Egor, and Ronnie Wells officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Jesse Bennefield, Tyler Cooper, Cameron Foster, Wesley Kearney, Timmy Childers, and Steve Miller. They are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 3:30 PM Monday.

The Brannon family and staff are honored to serve the family of Glenda Mae Roe Fox of Calhoun.
