Betty Thomas Obituary
Corpus Christi - Betty Marie Stearman Thomas, 72, of Corpus Christi Texas, passed away peacefully after a short battle with lung cancer and joined our Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2019.
Betty was born on April 13, 1947 to Willie and Jackie Stearman. She received an accounting degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She had her own business, Betty Thomas Bookkeeping. Betty touched many lives and made many friends through her business. She had a big heart and would do anything for those she loved and cared about. She will be greatly missed, but will live on in our hearts and cherished memories.
Betty was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Stearman, step-father (Daddy) James Kimble, and brothers Jim Kimble, Bill Kimble and Larry (Babe) Kimble.
Left to cherish her memories are her mom, Jackie Kimble of Dekalb, TX; husband of 54 years John Thomas, Sr. of Corpus Christi, TX; son, John (Pam) Thomas, Jr. of Webster, TX; son, Vince (Carla Newkirk) Thomas of Banquete, TX; step-daughter, Tammy (Bryan) McKinney of Mineola, TX; brothers, Jerry Kimble of Forth Worth, Texas; Art Kimble (Candy) of Grapeland, TX and several grandchildren.
Visitation with family present will be on Monday January 6th, 2020 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home.

I am so saddened to learn of Betty's passing. We will miss her dearly. I already miss her sweet voice! She had a great sense of humor and humored us as best she could each year when we saw her once or twice during tax season~ for many years! We are blessed to have met and spent time with Betty. Our condolences go to the family, which was so evidently her pride and JOY. We love you Betty!

Ms. Betty was a wonderful and kind neighbor/friend of thirteen plus years. She and Mr. Thomas were kind to invite us to their July 4th birthday celebrations, sending annual personalized birthday cards and yummy Christmas cookies. She never hesitated supporting my daughter Gaby's school fundraisers. Our sincerest condolences to all her loved ones and especially her life long partner. We miss you and cherish our years of friendship.

Always enjoyed her coming home for a visit. Such an awesome lady. I was lucky to have her as a sister in law and my kids aunt. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.

I didn't know Betty, but her daughter-in-law, Pamela Thomas; is my niece. I write this to convey my deepest condolences to Pam and husband, John, and John's family. I have been told many times what a lovely and loving woman Betty was. Soar high with the Angels Miss Betty!
