Clayton Roth Obituary

Clayton Roth

Aransas Pass/Ingleside - On Sunday, January 10th, 2021, Clayton Lee Roth, a loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 76. He passed away at home after battling a chronic medical condition surrounded by those who loved him the most.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10 am January 18 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, 2003 West Wheeler Avenue, Aransas Pass, TX 78336. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.

Clayton or "Doc" as he was commonly referred to by his friends, attended Texas A&M University and graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1966, where he was Salutatorian of his class. After Chiropractic school, Clayton settled in Aransas Pass, Texas and practiced there for over 35 years. He truly loved his career and his patients. He shared a relationship with his patients that went well beyond his ethical responsibilities; they were like members of the family and looked forward to seeing "Doc". Clayton was a devoted Christian who read his Bible every day, served in every possible capacity within the church, and Clayton and his family also helped build Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside, Texas. He and Lois were members of Bethel Baptist Church. Clayton was a selfless, dedicated family man who provided us love, strong moral values, and a shared respect for others.

Clayton was a passionate member of the Lion's Club where he served for over 50 years in numerous leadership roles including District Governor and Vice District Governor. He shared his love and devotion for serving his communities, building long-lasting relationships, and improving the world through kindness to others. He was awarded numerous awards during his tenure with the Lion's including 'perfect attendance', demonstrating his unfettered dedication and pride in improving his community. The countless hours Clayton dedicated to the south Texas communities are still visible today through the mission of giving and humanitarian aid.

Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Lee and his mother, Wilma. He is survived by his wife Lois, his two sons, Troy and Brian, and their families Deborah and Shannon, Ragan, Caroline, Marina, and Maddi.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that those who want to contribute, do so to Lions Club Children's Camp via https://lionscamp.ejoinme.org/MyPages/DonationPage/tabid/81165/Default.aspx.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Growing up along side of you was truly a blessing. He was a gentle person and very loving. I can't remember a time you ever screamed at me or anyone else. I have such wonderful memories of our childhood. You and Lois opened your home and stood up with Richard and I when we got married. Even went with us on our honeymoon. I always felt loved by you and he knew how much I loved and treasured him as a person and cousin. We will love you and miss you always. I will see you in heaven my devoted Christian.
